Lainie-isms!

Oh, Lainie Bug. She keeps us laughing all the time. I have the hardest time remembering the things she says that keep us laughing, so I am going to try and write some of them down. Here is a typical day conversing with Miss Priss.

Daddy: "Lainie, get in the car because we are going to see the animals."
Lainie: "Oh Daddy, you are so smart!"

Mommy: "Lainie, I want you to take a bite of your guacamole."
Lainie: "I can't."
Mommy: "Why?"
Lainie: "Because Mommy, it is very dangerous."

Mommy: sitting down to eat lunch with my t-shirt and shorts on.
Lainie: "Mommy, be careful. Don't spill it on your exercise dress, ok?"

Justin and I: talking in the car...we eventually start talking louder and louder, which sounds like we are arguing to her, but we are really just having a funny conversation.

Lainie: "Daddy and Mommy, you need to share."
If we ever do argue, she is very quick to always tell us we need to share! That is her way of telling us to stop! I will admit, she rarely hears us argue, but it is funny to hear her say that.

Lainie: singing a song
Mommy or Daddy: start singing too
Lainie: "No, its not your turn, MY turn!"

She has starting conversing with two animals, babies, etc. She will get a "daddy lamb" and a "baby lamb" and carry on a full conversation acting as each one. It is adorable! Any two toys that she can find will carry on conversations throughout the day. She also loves to play "I Spy With My Two Eyes." She still loves music, dancing, and watching Word World. She knows the sounds that each letter makes and is starting to sound out words. She is a little momma to Emmie and talks to her in a high-pitched voice like I do. Anytime she wears a dress, she says she is wearing her princess dress. However, if you tell her she is a princess, she will tell you that she is actually not a princess, she is Lainie.

She loves to use the word actually in a sentence. For example:
Mommy: "Lainie, do you want cheerios for breakfast?"
Lainie: "Actually, I want a banana."

She is a mess! I know nothing is anywhere near as funny when reading it, but she is such a little cutie in person! I guess you will have to take my word for it!

Chattanooga

Over Labor Day weekend, we decided to go to Chattanooga for the day. The last time we were there, we visited the Aquarium. We decided to go see the Children's Museum on this trip, and Lainie really had a great time. Bryan and Paige came with us with Maddie Grace and Hudson. We ate lunch at Sticky Fingers, which was awesome! Here are a few pics of the girls at the Museum. Things like this will definitely become easier once Emmie starts walking! Who knows when that will be?!

Emmie's First Day of School

Emmie decided she would start school a day late after she came down with a fever virus. School officially started on a Thursday, but she wasn't able to go until the following Tuesday. She has been twice now and is not really excited about the whole concept. She basically is happy if her teachers are holding her, but that is about it. When I went to pick her up on her first day, her face was all splotchy and red. She had been crying so much that she was doing that "catch my breath" breathing that babies do after a meltdown. It was pitiful!
We will see how she does....I am totally willing to pull her out if she isn't any happier. Mrs. Sylvia, Emmie's teacher, had Lainie as well. She has said that Emmie is definitely happier than Lainie ever was. I will admit, that makes me feel a bit guilty and sad for my Lainie Bug! I never realized that she was that unhappy in her nursery class. I knew she cried, but I never thought she was more unhappy that Emmie is. Bless her!
Here are a few pics of Little Bit before her big day. Sweet girl is SO happy in these pics....she had no idea what she was in for! :)

Lainie's First Day of School

We have officially started back to school around here. Lainie is now in 3-year old preschool and has Mrs. Beth and Mrs. Tricia for her teachers. I can not say enough about these sweet women who teach her two days a week. They are awesome!! Lainie already seems to love school and talks about what she does throughout the day. I know she will learn so much this year and also have lots of fun in the process. Here are pictures of her on her first day of 3-year old preschool!

Can She Really Be Three?

My sweet girl.....how is she already three years old? Keri took these precious pictures of Bug when we went for Emmie's one year pictures. She got some great shots considering that Little Miss was not exactly pleasant in her studio! For some reason, Lainie does not like the camera. She finally came around at the very end and decided to be sweet for a brief second. Poor Keri.....I would love for her to be around Lainie outside of her studio. She definitely has not met the sweet girl I know and love! However, she always seems to work her magic and get some great shots! :)
