Let's Color

Lainie loves to color! This has become one of her favorite activities these days. She has several Color Wonder markers and will color with those, but she also loves crayons. Here are a few cute pics of her coloring with Justin.

An Update on Emmie

Justin, Lainie and I went to see Dr. Crowe this morning to check on Emmie. She did an ultrasound to see how big Emmie was, and at 36 weeks, she is measuring 7 pounds, 11 ounces! I think she is going to be a big baby just like Lainie was. The ultrasound tech could see a little peach fuzz on the top of her head, so it looks like she will have a little hair. My c-section is scheduled for July 8, so Emmie should be here in about 2 1/2 weeks unless I go into labor before then. We can't wait to meet her!

A Celebration for Emmie

Last Saturday night, several of our friends threw a little party to celebrate Emmie. We ate dinner and had cookie cake for dessert. They were so sweet as they all chipped in and bought us our double stroller for Lainie and Emmie. We are so blessed with wonderful friends!

Happy Father's Day!

Lainie and I just wanted to wish Justin a very Happy Father's Day! He is such a wonderful daddy and takes such great care of us. Lainie and Emmie are truly blessed to have such an incredible father. He loves his girls unconditionally and treats us all so well. My mom and I began praying for my husband when I was a little girl. God definitely blessed me with such an amazing man, and he in turn blessed both of my daughters with an amazing father. I already pray for Lainie and Emmie's husbands, and I hope to teach them to pray for their spouse as they grow into young adults. I truly believe that God will honor our prayers.

Lainie is already a really sweet big sister. She is constantly wanting to rub my belly and give Emmie kisses. She LOVES all the babies around here. Maddie Grace, Reagan and Kade all have new siblings who she adores. It will be interesting to see what she thinks once we bring Emmie home with us. :)

You will notice that Lainie has markers in her hand in every picture. She loves to color and she will carry those things around with her all day. She has learned several of her colors recently....she knows blue, purple, pink, yellow, green, black, brown and white. For some reason, she is having a hard time learning orange and red, but she will get there!

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

One of Lainie's very favorite things to do when she is really tired is snuggle up with you and sleep on your shoulder. Since I have a huge (and I do mean HUGE!!) bump in the way these days, she frequently asks to lay with her daddy. The other morning, she woke up around 5:30 and wanted to lay with her daddy. I laid her in between us since Justin was sleeping and she proceeded to sit up, say Daddy, and push his shoulder so he would roll over. She then laid down on his chest and went back to sleep. This has been a common occurance around here lately, especially if she wakes up early or during the night. I took a picture of her doing this since it is just so darn sweet!

Summer Play Dates with Friends

Lainie has stayed very busy this summer playing with friends. Jamie, Paige, Calie and I all tried to plan at least one activity a week for the kids to do this summer. I have forgotten my camera several times, but I did manage to get a few pictures of some of the activities. We have gone to the park, storytime at Barnes and Noble, made cookies at a bakery, and spent time swimming. There are several things coming up that should be fun!
