Lainie's Dance Recital

Lainie had her dance recital on Friday night and did GREAT!! We really didn't think she would perform given her meltdown at the rehearsal. However, Justin promised her Chuck E Cheese if she would let us see her dance on stage. I think she decided it might be worth it to give it a try. She danced the whole time and was so proud of herself! We are so proud of her!

Our Little Bumblebee

Lainie has her first dance recital tomorrow night. I have been told that if she cries backstage, they will not let her perform. After our rehearsal tonight, I am not getting my hopes up. She cried and cried on stage and I was literally standing right in front of her. Justin has promised her a trip to Chuck E Cheese if she will let us see her dance. We will see how it goes!

Here are her dance pictures this year. To say she has mastered her "fake smile" would be an understatement! Oh, and we were asked to have their hair in a bun for pictures and performance. Let's just say I did the best I could. I think she still has a headache from me pulling her hair so hard...bless her!

Ultrasound Pictures

Thank you so much for your sweet messages and prayers regarding our baby's ultrasound. Everything went so well this morning and Dr. Crowe said this precious one looked perfect. Right now, the baby weighs about 10 ounces!

The ultrasound ended up taking longer than normal because, as I should have figured, we have a wild one in the making. Little Peanut was less than cooperative. Whenever the tech would get to something that she wanted to measure, the baby would move. It took several attempts to get measurements!

I am posting the pics that we got. They aren't super clear because, as I said, this little one was on the go. I am going to put Lainie and Emmie's profile shots below so you can compare. Anyone want to change their guess on the sex based on the pictures??

Waving to big sister, Lainie, who went to the doctor with Mommy and Daddy today.

The Big Ultrasound...Boy or Girl?

As many of you know, our sweet baby's ultrasound is scheduled for Wednesday morning. As much as I enjoy getting to see our baby on screen, I always have major anxiety leading up to it. I just want to know that our baby is healthy and growing as it should be. If you think about it, would you be praying for us on Wednesday morning?

That being said, I know many of you are also dying to know if this is a boy or a girl. From the poll on the right side of my blog, it looks like the majority is thinking boy. Here are the reasons I think it might be a boy:
* I bought an asymmetrical dress to wear for my birthday and that just doesn't ever happen around here. For a person who is OCD to the max with a Type A personality, asymmetrical dresses just don't appeal to me. However, I have this sudden urge to be rebellious and sported that dress like nobody's business on Saturday night.

* I have a sudden craving for some wine, a fruity drink....hell, I think I would even drink a beer at this point. Now, that my friends, just isn't normal. I love a glass of wine or a drink every once in a while, but never a craving. And beer...I just can't drink the stuff to save my life.

* I have a desire to show my wild side a little more. Deep down, I have this side of me that likes dirty humor, obnoxious ways, major sarcasm, etc. However, I really never show that side of me. Every now and then, it sneaks out. Right now, I feel the need to just let it all out there. So far, I have kept it contained, but don't be shocked by anything I choose to say or do from now until October! It might not be pretty.

* I really don't cuss at all unless Justin has made me really mad and I just need to let off some steam. Lately, I just feel the need to lay it out there. The words I say aren't the major ones, but for some reason, words like hell, @ss, and da$n keep finding their way out of my mouth. The other day, I said $hi# and was shocked! Where did that come from?

* I have always had the talent to let an obscene burp fly from time to time. Right now though, I can make a grown man cry they are so good! You wouldn't believe my abilities these days. They would knock your socks off!

* We cannot, for the life of us, come up with a girl's name that we like. We have used all options. Wait...maybe I should have this as a reason this baby IS a girl.

* The thought of getting out there and just sweating like a mad dog while doing some sort of boot camp, marathon, kick my @ss workout totally appeals to me right now.

* I am about to hit post on this blog entry and feel the need to just get it out there. See...my rebellious side....I usually would never express these kinds of things out loud.

* Just FYI.....my thought on all of this is he will bring out his rebellious side while in utero and then just be the calmest, well-behaved, most compliant little boy you have ever met. :) A mommy can wish, can't she?

Reasons I think this baby is a girl:
* Because scientifically, there is a 50/50 chance that it is indeed a girl.

Oh, and for the record, we still are not planning on finding out what this baby is on Wednesday. Add that to this list of rebellious tendencies for the pregnancy.

A Surprise from Uncle Bennie

Uncle Bennie is always so sweet to do things for the girls, including Riley! Recently, he sent a surprise in the mail for all three of them to open. It came while they were napping, so they were able to wake up to something fun to open. Riley had her package opened before I could grab the camera. However, I was able to get a few pics of the Lainie and Emmie. Thanks, Uncle Ben, for thinking of the girls and being so sweet to them!

What could it be?

A new Mickey Mouse movie.....yea!!

Emmie loves, loves her new book!

Best Buddies

These four kiddos have been friends since they were born! Kade, Lainie, Jake and Emmie are more like siblings than friends. They love to play together and always get along really well. Hmmmm...the more I think about it, maybe they are more like friends than siblings! Ha! Lainie and Emmie fight ALL. DAY. LONG! Jake is absolutely in love with Lainie! I think he is hoping Kade will move on to another woman soon. If Kade ever decides to do so, he will be waiting with open arms!
