Ellie - 12 Months

This post should have been written a long time ago, but I just haven't felt like sitting down to write it. The bad news that goes along with it is the hard drive in our computer completely went out, so I am having to use Justin's work laptop. Because of that, I have no pictures to post of our sweet girl at 12 months.
If you think about it, please pray that I do not lose all of my pictures when they fix our computer. There is a 50% chance that I will, and if that happens, I honestly think I will go into a deep state of depression. We haven't backed up our pictures in quite awhile, so you can imagine how sick I would be.
With that being said, let's talk about sweet Ellie. Here is what she is up to at one year old! I still can't believe that she is one!

* Little Bit is wearing 12-18 month clothes, size 3 diaper and weighs around 19 pounds. We go to the doctor on the 10th, so I will have a definite weight and length then.
* Ellie is crawling around everywhere, can pull up to stand, but will fall down immediately after she does it. Walking is definitely not in the near future for her.
* She is still our little baldie, but is starting to grow some hair that looks blonde! Her eyes are definitely brown now. We weren't sure if they would be green or brown, but they are getting darker and darker these days.
* She loves music and loves for people to sing to her. Some of her favorite songs are "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," "Jesus Loves Me," and "Old McDonald." She also loves to play "Pat-a-Cake."
* Ellie still takes two naps a day. She will usually sleep from 9:30 to 11:30 and then from 2:30-4:30. She sleeps all night and her bedtime is usually 7:00. She will sleep until around 7 the next morning.
* Miss Priss is completely on a sippy cup now and loves whole milk cold out of the fridge! She nursed for the last time on her first birthday. She made the transition with no problem at all.
* She still loves all things carbs. Some of her favorite foods are strawberries, rasberries, bananas, grapes, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, and yogurt. In order to get her to eat veggies, I have to give her baby food veggies. She did eat a little broccoli tonight, but the girl is a horrible veggie eater already.
* Ellie definitely has separation anxiety. I have been called out of church the last 4 weeks in a row. She will do great for about 30 minutes, and then she is over it.
* She throws anything that you give her. She loves to rip my glasses of my face and throw them on the ground as fast as possible. She will also throw her passy across the room. The girl has quite an arm already! :)
* She really isn't talking much. She says DaDa, Da for dog, LaLa and screams. That is about the extent of her vocabulary. Ha!
* She still loves her bathtime and will splash, splash, splash the whole time she is in there. She also loves to crawl back and forth all over the tub.
* I have lost count with her teeth. I know she has her top four front teeth, three of her bottom teeth, and 3 out of 4 molars. She might have all four molars now, but I haven't checked lately!
* Ellie loves, loves, loves to be outside. If we are walking, at the park, in the backyard, or outside anywhere, she is happy.
* Changing clothes or her diaper have the complete opposite effect. She absolutely despises having to stop and change anything. Her temper tantrums show up every. single. time.

Ellie, I honestly cannot believe that you are one year old. This year has just flown by. You have been such a sweet baby girl, and we have loved getting to know your personality throughout this year. You are so funny, and I think you are going to be a little ham as you grow. You definitely have a will about you, and can throw a mean temper tantrum. I think you are going to be the type of child that sets your mind on something and won't let anything hold you back. We look so forward to what the future holds for you, and love you so much!

Happy 1st Birthday, Ellie!

Happy 1st Birthday to our precious Lynleigh Ellison! You bring so much joy to our family. We love you SO much!

Ellie's 12 month update will be posted soon!

Smash Cake

Ellie wasn't too sure about her birthday cake. She honestly played with it more than she ate it. I thought she would dive right in since she loves all things carbs, but she surprised me! She also wanted nothing to do with that cute little birthday hat! :)

Party Guests

We are so thankful for the friends and family who are a part of our girls' lives. They are definitely blessed with a community of people who truly love them well. Of course, not everyone was able to make it to the party, so these pictures do not include all of the special people in our lives. However, it is a glimpse of those that the girls love so much, and we are so thankful for. Unfortunately, I forgot to get a picture of all the guys, but they were very busy playing football in the backyard with the kids! :)
We definitely missed some of our family who live out of state that we know would love to be here to celebrate sweet Ellie's 1st birthday....Grampi, Granna and Pops, Uncle Michael and Uncle Bennie!

Ellie's 1st Birthday Party

We had Ellie's 1st birthday party this weekend. Since owls seem to be in right now, I decided to do an owl theme. It really turned out so cute. We had a few appetizers for everyone to snack on, and cake and ice cream for dessert. We also had a candy bar for the kids as they left. They were told to stuff a bag of their favorite candy! The owl cake pops were a big hit too. It was so fun to plan this party, especially since I know it will be my last "1st birthday party" to plan! Here are a few pictures of all the decorations before the party started.
