Christmas Eve Eve

My brother came up from Birmingham on the 23rd for Christmas. On Christmas Eve Eve (ha!) we all went over to Erin and Mick's house for dinner. Justin's parents came into town for the holidays as well, so we were able to spend time with his family. The girls had a great time hanging out with everyone while they were here for the holidays.

Here are a few pics from the night:

Have You Ever?

Have you ever had one of those weeks where:

* you find your three year old running around the house wearing her t-shirt, black boots, and nothing else?
* you find your one year old splashing in a potty full of tee tee while laughing?
* your child bites into a glass ornament like it is a carrot and it shatters in her mouth?
* you find yourself redecorating your Christmas tree everyday because your children constantly undecorate it for fun?
* your child walks out of the bathroom with their clothes on, but when you asked them if they wiped after they went poo poo, they say "No!"?
* your child has three scratches on their head, a bruise on their forehead and a scratch on their nose, and you have no idea how it got there?
* your child takes off after a diaper change with no diaper on so you decide to go throw the dirty diaper away and grab a new one. In that time, she proceeds to pee all over the kitchen floor and then run through the pee and slip?
* you receive a bill in the mail from the emergency room visit your husband made a few weeks earlier when his shoulder, that is not covered by insurance, came out of socket?
* you sweep the cheerios off the kitchen floor not once, not twice, but three times in a span of 30 minutes?
* your husband backs your van into your brother's car sitting in your driveway and all you can say is "Ohhhhh, my van!"?
* you realize you are calling your child by their "real name" more than by their "nickname" because they are being JUST that ROTTEN!!!?
* you tell your husband you need "a moment" just so you can sit in silence in order to avoid an anxiety attack due to all of the screaming, whining and crying you have heard the last 3 hours?
* you look in the rear view mirror of your car and have to tell your child to stop biting their toenails?
* you go to hang the towels on the towel rack in your 1/2 bath and the bar decides to just completely break and fall to the floor?
* you then proceed to put new toilet paper on the roll in your bathroom and it proceeds to completely break and fall to the floor as well?
*you walk outside into hurricane like winds to find your trash can and all of its trash scattered all over your yard, your neighbor's yard, and the street?

No, you haven't??? Really?? Ok...well, I haven't either!

Happy Birthday Jesus!!

Last week, Lainie and Emmie had several friends over for a "Birthday Party for Jesus!" We had lunch and then decorated cupcakes. Every child was given a candle for their cupcake that they blew out after we all sang "Happy Birthday to Jesus." They were so cute and so excited about the birthday party. I want to make it a tradition each year to do something like this with the girls and their friends. The party definitely helped Lainie understand what Christmas was really all about.

Help Me! I'm Being Chased by a......

Help me! I'm being chased by a streaker!!!

Eeeeek! Faster, faster, faster!

This was not the outfit I had in mind when I saw those cute, black boots!

HA! Mommy, you thought I was kidding about the streaker thing, didn't you?

Nothing like a little Moonshine!

Lainie's Christmas Program

Lainie had her Christmas program at school a few weeks ago and did such a great job. One of the songs she sang had the lyrics of "jump for joy" and boy did she jump. If you know Lainie Bug, you know she never has a problem finding a reason to jump. I always love watching her perform at school. She is such a shy child, but she really comes out of her shell when she is on stage. It is so cute! She loves, loves, loves music and dancing!

Opryland Hotel

Last weekend, we went with some friends to the Opryland Hotel to see all of the trees and lights. The girls loved looking at all the decorations. It is amazing what all there is to see there each Christmas! We only got a few pictures as the girls were too busy to stop for a pic or two!

Here are some pictures of Lainie Bug during her first trip to the Opryland Hotel! I put Em in the same outfit so I could compare pics! :) In these pics, I was about 2 months pregnant with Emmie. I remember thinking that Lainie was so big when I found out I was pregnant, but she was SUCH a baby! Sweet girl!
