Beach Fun

Whew....have we been busy around here! There has not been much time for blogging, but I am determined to get caught up! A couple of weekends ago, several girls headed to the beach for Keri's bachelorette weekend. We had such a great time celebrating her! I have decided that we need to make it a tradition for all of us to meet at the beach for a couple of days each summer. I love seeing them and spending time with them whenever I get the chance to do so. Only a few more weeks until the big wedding day! Can't wait!!

Ready for the Honeymoon

I spent part of this weekend celebrating my sweet friend, Keri! She is getting married next month, so we had to get her ready for her honeymoon. Her lingerie shower was last night and she got so many cute things! I had so much fun catching up with everyone and spending time with some of my best friends. Can't wait to spend more time with them next week for the bachelorette weekend at the beach! :)

Emmie's Big Day

We had such a fun day celebrating Emmie's 2nd birthday. We started the day at the pool! Calie, Kade and Jake all came to swim with us and the kids had lots of fun.




The girls and I came home after lunch so they could take naps. We waited for Daddy to get home and then took the birthday girl to one of her favorite places to eat...Moe's. She had cheese quesadillas as her birthday dinner.



We came home after dinner and Em opened presents and cards. Of course, her big gift was the swing set. She also loved her new computer. Lainie loved it too....it has been the center of many sibling arguments since the thing was opened!





The Shacklefords came over after Kade's t-ball practice to play and eat cupcakes. They had lots of fun playing outside before we came in to sing "Happy Birthday."



We ended the night eating yummy cupcakes! It was such a fun day for everyone!

The Big Surprise!

We decided that this year for the girls' birthdays, we would look into getting them a swing set. Both girls love the park, but most of all, love to swing. Justin and I talked to our families and asked them if they were interested in going in on this "big" gift instead of doing lots of little things. Everyone agreed and we were able to surprise the girls. They absolutely LOVE it! In fact, Emmie has been put in time out almost every time we end our swinging sessions. She throws a major temper tantrum every. single. time. we have to come inside! Needless to say, they are so excited and have enjoyed every second with it so far. Here is their big birthday surprise!!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Emmie!!!

Happy Birthday to our sweet Emerson! We have had a fun-filled day celebrating her special day. I have lots of pictures to share, but they will have to come tomorrow as we are all worn out. Emmie, your daddy and I love you so much and are so blessed to have you as our daughter. Happy Birthday sweet girl!

July 4th

We had a great 4th of July this year! The girls, Justin and I spent most of our day swimming at the pool. I should have taken my camera to get a few pics, but for some reason, I didn't have it with me! After the girls took a nap, we headed out to see the fireworks with the Bryans and the Lagraizes. There were a few other families there as well, so we ended up meeting some new sweet couples. The girls enjoyed the fireworks, but were so tired at the end of the night. We didn't get home until around 11:00 that night. After the baseball game Friday night and our cookout Saturday night, Sunday was the third night out in a row we had the girls out that late. I think they are still recovering! :)
