Lainie's Spring Program and Trike Parade

Lainie had her Spring Program and Trike Parade at school a few weeks ago. As shy as our sweet girl is, she always loves getting up on stage and performing. Each age group gets up and sings two songs along with doing motions. She just loves music and dancing, so the whole concept is right up her alley! After the program was over, she rode in a trike parade. She did such a great job and had so much fun! We decorated her tricycle with ribbons and balloons, which she loved!

I do have to say that the school requested that all the 3 year olds wear either a yellow or orange shirt with jeans for the program. They request that the kids wear certain things for both the Christmas (white shirt and jeans) and Spring programs every single time. Is it terrible that I really don't care for this particular concept? As most of you know, I love dressing the girls and they have so many cute "spring clothes!" And Christmas....don't get me started. I mean, how many cute Christmas outfits are out there? Anyways...I know I sound like a big selfish snob and I apologize, but I just would love to have pics of Lainie at her programs in her cute little outfits. Now, on to more important things like pictures. :)

Emmie and her 18 Month....errrr 21 Month Check-Up

The week we left for North Carolina, I decided Emmie was due for a well visit. Her schedule is all messed up because her shot schedule is different than most. She got way behind on her shots with all the ear infections she had, so she actually got two of her 12 month shots at this check-up and she is 21 months old. Oh well, better late than never! Dr. Ray said she looked great. Her stats were:
Length: 34 1/4 inches (90th percentile)
Weight: 26 pounds (60th percentile)

Here are a few pics of Em from her visit with Gramma and Grampi. Her hair looks slicked down because she had just had a bath. :)

Precious Faces

Cuteness 101

There aren't many things that are cuter than this precious pup! Meet Kimie, Brooke and Scott's new sweetheart, Jake!

Hunting for Easter Eggs

My girls loved hunting for eggs this year. Both of them definitely understood the concept and found lots of eggs! Brooke and Scott did a great job too and were so sweet to leave alot of the eggs on the ground for the girls to find.

And, they are OFF!!!

Easter Morning 2010

For Easter this year, the girls and I traveled to North Carolina to see my family. We had a really great time seeing everyone. Of course, it is an annual Easter tradition at our house for one of my children to be sick and this year was no exception. Emmie was running fever, extremely fussy, drooling, miserable, etc. Seriously, Justin and I have yet to go to church on Easter morning since Lainie has been born. One of them is literally sick every Easter....strange? Despite little Em feeling crummy, everyone enjoyed waking up to Easter baskets and hunting for eggs.

Random Thoughts

Random Thoughts on a Saturday Morning:

* Wow, it is 9:13 and Emmie is already in time-out....shocking!
* Who moved our patio chair into the middle of our back yard last night and left it there?
* One day, I will actually download our Easter pictures and blog about them.
* I will also blog about my trip to North Carolina over spring break....one day!
* I think today may be a zoo, ice cream, date night kind of day!
* It is really cute to hear Lainie sing along to music. It melts my heart when I hear her sing along to her praise music dvds. However, this morning as she sang along to the radio, I thought it was a little comical to hear my 3-year old sing It's a quarter after 1, I'm all alone and I need you now. And I said I wouldn't call, but I'm a little drunk and I need you now. Something about those lyrics.....
* I wonder how far along people think I am when they see me. I really look about 20 weeks along, and I am not kidding. Dr. Crowe said that I should thank my first two children for that.
* Poor, poor Keri!! As I was getting measured for my bridesmaid's dress for her wedding coming up in August, all I could say to the consultant was "Bless this sweet bride's heart for asking me to be in her wedding." Come to think of it, she did ask before she knew I was "with child!" Keri, I apologize in advance for my "moose-like" appearance I will make in August. At least the girl standing next to me will feel REALLY good about herself! HA!
* Orange rolls are in the oven and they are distracting my train of thought.
* I promise pictures of the girls soon. Really! I really, really do! I promise!

Where O Where Did Mere Mere Go?

So, I have been a big ol' slacker with the whole blog thing! I promise I will be updating soon. Unfortunately, it is 9:30 p.m. That, my friends, is an hour passed my pregnancy bedtime, so I am heading to my happy place. You think I am kidding, but I really am not. If I didn't think you would judge, I would tell you that I went to bed at 6:45 last night. However, no normal person that was my age would do that, especially when their 3 year old and one year old didn't go to bed until 7:30.

Can I get a little slack since I had a migraine? No? Yeah....got no slack from Justin either! Boo Hoo!
