Beach Trip 2011 - Round 2

One of the highlights of the beach trip was swimming. Lainie has always been very fearful of swimming pools, and has never actually gotten in the deep section of one with or without floaties to swim. She has been terrified of any deep water. Our neighborhood pool has zero level entry, so she has always stayed in the very shallow water and just played with her toys there.

The night we got to the condo, my mom decided to take all of the grandkids swimming. On the way to the pool, Lainie said she just wanted to sit with Gramma and relax. I honestly did not think she would even entertain the thought of getting in the pool. However, she completely surprised me! Gramma put floaties on Lainie, and she eventually decided she would try it. She LOVED it and only wanted to swim in the pool from then on. Emmie was a champ swimmer as well! She put those floaties on and never looked back. So fun!

Beach Trip 2011 - Round 1

Justin and I decided to plan a beach trip this year since we haven't been to the beach in years. The last time we went, Lainie was turning one! Needless to say, we were so ready to plan a vacation. My family was able to join us, and we all had such a great time. I have so many pictures from the trip. Instead of putting all of the pictures in one post, I decided to divide them up between a few posts. These are round one!

Last Game, First Trophy

Lainie had her last t-ball game last week. After the game, they had their team party and she got her very first trophy. To say she is proud of it would be an understatement. She carries it around with her all over the house!

She had a great first year with t-ball and says she wants to play again. She was lucky to be able to play with one of her very best friends, Graham. They both did so well and were so fun to watch! We are very proud of our Lainie Bug!

Table Food

Now that Ellie is 9 months old, she is able to start some table food. About 2 weeks ago, I gave her some Puffs and put her in her highchair to see what she would do. She loved them! She grabbed them and fed them to herself like she had been doing it for months. We are going to start giving her regular table food now since she is doing so well with Puffs and Yogurt Melts.

The same week she started eating Puffs, she got in her two top teeth. She has also gotten a 3rd bottom tooth, so she now has 7 teeth total! She is really close to getting another bottom tooth. Sweet girl is getting so big!
