A Trip Down Memory Lane

I have never posted many of the pictures that we have taken with our cell phones over the years. I honestly just forget to download them or post them. I thought it would be fun to post them because as I was going through them this morning, it took me on a trip down memory lane! I had to put them into two posts because there were quite a few to share! I will post the others tomorrow. My girls are getting so big!

O Christmas Tree

Justin, the girls and I went to get our Christmas tree today. Lainie and Emmie have been more excited about Christmas this year, and we were all looking forward to getting our tree. Once we got it home, Lainie was very eager to start decorating. She always talks about putting a star on top, and honestly, I have never actually put a start on top of the tree. Since she was so excited about being able to put a star on the top of the tree, I decided to get one at Hobby Lobby the other day. She has been so fun to watch this year as she really is starting to understand the concept of Christmas. Emmie isn't quite as excited about decorating, but asks multiple times a day how long we have until Christmas and when we get to open our presents. :)

Ellie's 1-Year Appointment

Ellie had her 1 year appointment yesterday. Her stats were:

Weight: 19 pounds 11 ounces (15th percentile)
Lenghth: 28 1/2 inches (15th percentile)

Her doctor said that she felt like the nurse had her length wrong, so I am not sure exactly what it is. The nurse was supposed to measure her again, but never did. However, the doctor felt like her length was proportionate to her weight. I still can't believe I have such a petite little girl. I think Emmie weighed 23 pounds at one year! :)

Everything looked great! She did have to get two shots yesterday which she wasn't too thrilled about. We are still doing delayed vaccinations, so she didn't get as many as she normally would. She is crawling around everywhere, pulling up, cruising, and yesterday stood by herself for the first time! She also finally said mama the day after Thanksgiving! She will say dada, mama, dat, and dis when pointing to things or holding something. Such a big girl!
