Make Room for Baby

Lainie and Emmie have been sharing a room with two twin beds since Ellie was born. With them being in twin beds and Ellie being in her crib, it was always hard when guests would come to spend the night. The girls would end up sleeping in our room while the guests had to sleep on an uncomfortable twin bed or the sofa.

In addition to those issues, Lainie and Emmie would ask where Ellie would sleep once she was old enough to sleep with them. According to the girls, they should all share a room once Ellie graduates to a big girl bed. :)

Justin and I had been looking for double/twin bunk beds in order to help with these situations. We would have more bed space for guests, and Ellie could sleep with the girls as she got older if she wanted to. Justin found a bed recently that was a great deal, so we decided to make the change. Because the bunk beds would block the mural in Lainie and Emmie's room, we decided to move the girls to Ellie's room and move Ellie to the original nursery. We also kept a twin bed in the nursery for more bed space.

We are really happy with how everything turned out! The girls are so excited about their bunk beds! Tonight will be their first night to sleep in them. So fun!
