Gentry's Farm

We have had a fun-filled weekend this weekend with the girls! We had a birthday party, a fall festival, went to visit the pumpkin patch, and had a neighborhood chili party. The girls were both exhausted tonight! I am posting some of our pics from Gentry's Farm today. I would love to post the cuteness that occurred at the fall festival last night, but I am holding on to those pictures until next weekend. No sneak peeks of their costumes just yet! I will have to say that I almost couldn't go to sleep last night due to the level of cuteness! :)

Boo to You!

Thanks so a special someone we know, the girls have more Halloween outfits than there are days in the month of October! Here are a couple of pics in another Halloween outfit. We literally wear a different one everyday. :)

These sweet girls are truly becoming friends and are so cute together. I hope they stay close and always stand by each other. I love that my girls have a sister to love. I am so grateful for such an amazing sister in my life! Lainie definitely has an amazing namesake in Kimie!

Guess Who's Walking!

I am not kidding you....as soon as I posted my last post saying Emmie still was not walking, she decided she would start. Hilarious! The next day, she started really trying to walk and would stand back up if she fell down. She is getting better and better with it every day. She still resorts to crawling some, but I think she is getting more and more comfortable with the concept of walking everyday.
(Imagine the "Hallelujah" chorus in the background as I post this!)

This Is What Happens When.....

This is what happens when Daddy watches the girls while watching football at the same time! What or who do you think he was spending the majority of his time watching? :)

It's a Little Brisk In Here

This is one of Emmie's favorite places to be! Justin found her sitting like this the other night and took some pictures of her. She would rather sit here than anywhere else....silly girl!

Another Fun Doctor Visit

Lainie and Emmie had their well check-ups yesterday (3 year and 15 months). They both did great! Lainie had to get her finger pricked and wasn't too sure about that, but she did not need any shots. Poor little Em hasn't had shots since she was 6 months old, so she was actually due for 7 shots! Yikes! She only got 3, and will get the remaining shots at 18 months. She did handle it like a champ, and actually didn't cry until the third shot.
Emmie is still not walking. Actually, she can walk and will take 6-7 steps, but she chooses to crawl because she can get from point A to point B much more quickly if she crawls. She will hold my hand and walk beside me, but if I let go, she goes right back to those knees. Lainie was the opposite (big shocker!) and never went back to crawling once she started walking. She started walking at 11 months old, so I am a little spoiled in that department. It really will be so much easier when Emmie starts walking as she wants down all the time. She does not want to be held when we are out and about. Of course, I don't want her crawling all over nasty floors, so it presents a challenge!

Their stats at their appointments were:
Lainie - 31 pounds (50th percentile) and 37 3/4 inches (60th percentile)
Emmie - 24 pounds 2 ounces (75th percentile) and 31 1/4 inches (85th percentile)

Emmie's First Hair Cut

You know it is time for your child's first hair cut when their newest hair style starts looking like this....

I promise I did not style her hair that way. She woke up looking like that and I thought it was too funny. We made an appointment for her at a place called Sweet-N-Sassy. It is a fun, girly place that we take Lainie to for her haircuts. I wasn't sure how Miss Priss would do, but she was amazing! She sat in the chair and never made a peep! I think she liked all the attention she was getting, bless her heart! She was just as happy as can be up there in her chair. The girl just took a little off the back and evened up the front. Honestly, I am probably the only person that can tell a difference!

A Little Girl and Her Rain Boots

Justin and I ran into Target one night with the girls and Lainie spotted some Hello Kitty rain boots that she fell in love with. She had to try them on and would not take them off. Since we weren't sure if she would really wear them or not, we made her leave them there. To say she wasn't happy with our decision was an understatement. She screamed and cried for those boots as we walked out of the store.

I was telling my mom the story, and of course, she said to go back and buy those boots for Lainie from Gramma and Grampi. I decided not to say anything to Lainie until we found the boots in her size just in case they didn't have them. Well, we got to Target and were walking in the door, and Lainie said, "Mommy, Lainie LOOOOOVVVES boots!" She walked straight to those boots and grabbed them!

She wants to wear them all the time. She wears them no matter what! Here are some pics of her in them. She was helping me make banana pudding one night in her pajamas, and of course, she had to have those boots on. It is hilarous! Oh, and she didn't mind licking the spoon either! :)
