Emmie - January 2010 (18 Months)

Lainie - January 2010

Two Blessings

Here are some pictures that we had made in January. Emmie was 18 months old and Lainie Bug was 3 1/2. I remember looking at Lainie's 18 month pictures and thinking those were really the last ones we got where she still looked like a baby. She seemed to really start looking like a little girl by the age of 2.

I love the girls at their ages now for so many reasons, but I also think this might be the hardest stage of parenthood for me so far as well. While they can be so fun, they can also have their "moments!" Lainie is starting to use her voice to state her independence (is that a nice way to say it?) and Emmie is still throwing her tantrums to state hers too. She really is getting better each day, but she still has moments as you saw in my last post that prove she has an opinion and isn't scared to show it.

They play very well together sometimes, and fight like cats and dogs sometimes. However, not a moment goes by that I don't remember how blessed Justin and I truly are. God has blessed us with two beautiful, healthy girls who we adore. However, we aren't afraid to say that we need a night out every once in a while! :)

Tantrums and Tutus

Sweet little Lainie Bug!

"So help me, if you point that camera in my direction again, you will regret it!"

"You can take a picture of me! Look at my beautiful tutu."

"That's IT!! I told you you would regret it!"

"Can I wear this tutu ALL day long EVERY. SINGLE. DAY?"

"Is your blood pressure rising yet, Mommy?"

"I am the picture of perfection at this point, and I know it."

"Oh. MY. GOSH!! If you don't put the camera down now......"

"Sweet, precious, angelic...those are words that describe me, right?"

"WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! There's a word!"

"Do you see what I put up with on a daily basis?"

"Oh, I will give you something to put up with, Miss Priss!"

"Just go ahead and say it, I am your favorite today, aren't I?"

and yes.....these pictures really were taken at the same time!

A Late Night Run!

Who is that Rat and Why Is He Looking at Me?

Our friend, Reagan, turned five in January and had her party at Chuck E Cheese. The girls enjoyed playing games and eating pizza, but were not fond of meeting Mr. Chuck E at all! He walked out and both girls completely lost it! Drama much? As you can see in one of the pictures, Emmie has decided rules are not meant to be followed. She just does her own thing and is happy doing it!

Afterwards, we took the girls to the cutest little yogurt shop in downtown Franklin. The girls were able to pick their favorite frozen yogurt and add whatever toppings they wanted. The topping selection was endless! Lainie and Emmie had a blast, and enjoyed special treat!
