Well, I am a day late at wishing Emmie a Happy 3 Months, but we were on the road yesterday and didn't get home until after midnight. Emmie is now officially 3 months old and growing way too quickly! Thanks to a trip to the ER, we know that she weighs 12 pounds 14 ounces at this time. Sweet baby girl ran a low grade fever while we were at the beach. Because of her age, everyone thought she probably needed to see a doctor, so we took her to a "Doc in the Box" since it was Sunday. I discovered that doctors will not see babies under 6 months of age, so we had to take her to the ER! Bless her....they did a complete check-up (blood work, urine check via catheter, ear check, etc. etc.) and there was nothing wrong. I think she just had a little virus.
Emmie started sleeping through the night at the end of September, but did wake up during the night while we were on vacation. We discovered that she is definitely a homebody. She just wasn't herself while we were gone, but has been the sweet, quiet baby that she is today now that she is home. She is much more quiet and reserved than Lainie was. She seems to just take in the world. She doesn't like alot of noise and is very solemn. Bless her sweet little heart...there is rarely a peaceful moment around here with her wild sister running around. :)
