Beach Pictures continued

Here are a few more pictures from our beach getaway! My dad, Justin, Tyler, and Michael all went deep sea fishing on Saturday with my Uncle Don and cousin, Reeves.

The guys seemed to have a great time while my mom, Kimie and I hung out at the beach with the kiddos. Lainie had lots of fun playing with Brooke and Scott. Kimie captured some pictures of Lainie Bug on the beach and swimming with Gramma, Scott and Brooke. Lainie decided that the sand wasn't so scary afterall. She was a little nervous about the whole idea at first, but warmed up to the sand once she spotted Scott's shovel.

And poor Emmie...here is proof that she was, indeed, on the beach trip with us! :)

While we were at the beach, we celebrated Brooke's birthday. She brought cute crowns and hats for all of us to wear while we celebrated.

We also went out to eat and had some great food!

We had such a great time spending time with family and look forward to more beach trips in the future!

Beach Trip

To say this year's trip to the beach was CRAZY is an understatement! We were only there for the weekend and it flew by. I never even had time to get the girls down to the beach for pictures. My dad, brother, Justin, Lainie and I went for a walk on the beach the night we got there and luckily, Michael brought his camera. I would have no pictures of the beach otherwise! Poor Emmie doesn't have one single picture of her on the beach.....maybe next year. Life with two kiddos is BUSY!

Happy Birthday Justin!!!

Happy Birthday to Justin! His birthday was yesterday and we celebrated it with Erin and Mick last night. We all went to Omikoshi to eat dinner, and then had cookie cake once we got home. Thanks Erin and Mick for a great dinner out!

Omikoshi was Lainie's first experience with a Japanese restaurant. She was a little shy at first, but ended up enjoying it. She loved the rice and the sherbert! :)

We love you Justin! Hope you had a great birthday. Thanks so much for all you do for your girls!

Happy Birthday Brooke!!!!

We wanted to send BIG birthday hugs, kisses and wishes to our neice and cousin, Brooke! She turned 7 years old today and we can hardly believe it! We were so lucky to be able to celebrate her birthday with her while we were at the beach this past weekend. She is having a spend the night party this weekend with some of her friends and I know she will have a blast!

We love you so much Brookie!! You are such a precious girl and we are so proud of you. You have such a sweet spirit, a gentle heart and are such a joy to be with. We would give anything to be able to see you more often and watch you grow. Hope your seventh year is a great one!

Lainie aka Wild Woman

Sweet little Lainie Bug is such a wild thing! She has more spunk and personality that I can describe in words. She has that personality that can light up a room in no time. We just love her so much! Here are a few things that Lainie is doing right now:

*She calls her Daddy "J" and "Justin" whenever she needs him for something. When he gets home from work, she will run to him and say "Daddy!" and if you ask her what his name is, she will say "Daddy." However, if she needs something (snack, drink, etc. etc.), she will call him J or Justin! It really is funny! My family and I call him "J" so I guess she has picked that up from us.

*She will hold her thumb and index finger up to her chin and say "Let's think" and then she will tap her chin for a moment. Once she has thought for a minute, she will stick her finger up and say "I know!" and tell you something that she comes up with at that moment. She did this tonight with me and I was cracking up!

*She can count to eleven!

*She sings, sings, sings all the time! While my mom and I were at Target with her the other day, she was walking the aisles singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star as loud as she could and was not embarrassed at all! She loves to sing and does the motions right along with the songs. She knows alot of songs...too many to list! Her teachers say she loves music at school as well, and really comes out of her shell while they are in music....hmmmmmm! I am scared to know what they mean by that! :)

*She still jumps all the time! Jumping in her crib is a favorite activity. Unfortunately, she has graduated herself right up to a big girl bed because of this. In fact, Justin is taking apart her crib as I speak and she is sleeping in our bed! We walked in last week to get her up from her nap and found the canopy to her crib in the crib with her. Bolts and springs were all over the floor and one side of her crib was no longer attached. She jumped so much that the crib literally came apart...WILD!!! She looked at us when we walked in her room and she said "Mess!" Um, yes sweet girl, you could say that!

*Lainie loves the moon! She will point it out to you every night as long as she can see it! If you ask her what shape the moon is, she will say "Crescent" when it is that shape!

*Whenever you ask Lainie who lives in her heart, she will say "Jesus!"

She is just pure joy to us! Love you baby girl!

Happy 3 Months to Emmie!

Well, I am a day late at wishing Emmie a Happy 3 Months, but we were on the road yesterday and didn't get home until after midnight. Emmie is now officially 3 months old and growing way too quickly! Thanks to a trip to the ER, we know that she weighs 12 pounds 14 ounces at this time. Sweet baby girl ran a low grade fever while we were at the beach. Because of her age, everyone thought she probably needed to see a doctor, so we took her to a "Doc in the Box" since it was Sunday. I discovered that doctors will not see babies under 6 months of age, so we had to take her to the ER! Bless her....they did a complete check-up (blood work, urine check via catheter, ear check, etc. etc.) and there was nothing wrong. I think she just had a little virus.

Emmie started sleeping through the night at the end of September, but did wake up during the night while we were on vacation. We discovered that she is definitely a homebody. She just wasn't herself while we were gone, but has been the sweet, quiet baby that she is today now that she is home. She is much more quiet and reserved than Lainie was. She seems to just take in the world. She doesn't like alot of noise and is very solemn. Bless her sweet little heart...there is rarely a peaceful moment around here with her wild sister running around. :)

Happy 3 Months Sweet Girl! We love you SO much!

Lainie's Big Surprise

Lainie has a little something to show off for you! Can you guess what it is?

Today we celebrated her first ever PIGTAILS!!!!! I think I was a little camera happy, but how cute is she?! Ok, maybe I am more excited that I should be, but I truly thought this day would NEVER come. :) Oh, and I am not sure why she was sticking out her tongue in so many pictures....she is her Daddy's child!
