Snow Day

Emmie had her first snow experience this week! Unfortunately, Daddy had to work so we didn't really go outside and play in the snow. I did take the girls out for a few pictures. Lainie wasn't interested in the snow at all, but instead wanted to walk in the water on the street where it was melting!

And here is a picture from Lainie's first snow experience!

Christmas Card Pictures

Here are some of the pictures we took trying to get our Christmas card photo for this year. They were taken during Emmie's 3-month photo shoot in October, but I had to keep them a secret until I sent my cards out! As always, Keri did a great job!

Lainie Funnies

Just a few "Lainie Funnies" for you:

* While attending "The Sugarplum Fairy" at the library the other night with friends, Lainie watched and really paid attention to the dancers. Towards the end of the ballet, Lainie stood up and started doing all the moves that the ballerina was doing. She would move her arms, jump and turn circles, and sway. It was the CUTEST thing! Of course, after the show, I tried to take a picture of her next to the ballerina in her tutu and Lainie started screaming! Still not over the fear of the tutu yet.

^ As most of you know, Lainie's very favorite show is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. On the Disney channel, Handy Manny comes on after Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so Lainie will watch some of that show while I am getting ready. Well, Handy Manny decided to adopt a new tool named "Flicker." We have discovered that Lainie can't quite say Flicker, but calls him another name instead....starts with "F" and rhymes with sucker!

* I was bathing Emmie tonight and Lainie was upstairs with me in the bathroom. I had jeans on, so when I was bending over to bathe Emmie, I must have been sporting a slight "plumber's crack" if you will! Next thing I know, Lainie has her foam shampoo pump nozzle in my crack and pumping it full of foam shampoo. I guess she didn't think it was quite clean enough...HA!! Sorry if that is TMI, but I found it hilarious!

We love Lainie Bug!

Happy 5 Months to Emmie!

Emmie is officially five months old now! She no longer acts like a newborn, which makes me a little sad! She is up and alert most of the day. She discovered that she has a voice on November 20, and uses it to the best of her ability these days! She also discovered that she has toes on Thanksgiving Day! I think the "grabbing the toes" stage is a favorite of mine. I still haven't gotten a picture of it, but I will at some point!

Emmie is becoming quite the chunky monkey. Those cheeks are filling out and the girl has got some rolls on those arms and legs. It will be interesting to see how much she grows between her 4-month and 6-month check-ups. I feel like she really started putting on the pounds this past month. I think going on formula has made a difference. She wasn't putting on the weight quite as quickly when I was nursing her.

Happy 5 Months, Emmie! We love you!

Lainie Lovebug

Just a few pictures of my Lainie Lovebug today. She is growing up way too fast for her Mommy. It is hard to get many pictures of her since she has recently decided that she does not want her picture taken. She has become a little opinionated in her old age! :) I have found that she can be:

SASSY

SWEET

and downright SILLY

Tolerating Tummy Time

Neither one of my girls liked tummy time. In fact, they both screamed like they were experiencing extreme pain whenever I made them take part in any tummy time activity! Today, Emmie actually decided that she would lay on her stomach as long as Lainie laid next to her and played on her blanket. I caught them in the act. Lainie is so sweet to Emmie and really tries to make her happy if she is upset. She will pat her on the back and say "It is ok, Emmie."

Mommy and Me

If you are a mommy, you know that you are almost always behind the camera and hardly ever in front of it! Lainie was running around being funny, so I decided to take a few pictures of her while she was in a mood to be photographed. I also took it upon myself to do some self photos of the two of us. I love the one where she is cutting her eyes over at me. TOO cute!

Mommy, you're so funny!

No more flash photography, please! Peace out....

Halloween is long gone, but Lainie still LOVES her witch hat!

Thanksgiving 2008

I know I am way behind on this post, but I wanted to post some pictures of the girls over Thanksgiving. We all headed down to Birmingham to have Thanksgiving with Justin's family. Mick and Erin went with us and we all enjoyed a fun day at Aunt Kitty's house. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing everyone.

The day after Thanksgiving, Justin's cousin, Betsy, and her husband, Tony, were so sweet to have us over for lunch. The girls had a great time playing with their two little girls, Caroline and Evelyn. Thanks to Aunt Kitty, Betsy and Tony for having us over during the holiday! We really enjoyed seeing everyone.

Lainie loved Aunt Kitty's dogs while we were there!
