It's a GIRL!!

Can you believe it? We have another precious baby girl! Introducing....

Lynleigh Ellison Salmon
"Ellie"
October 14, 2010
7 pounds 12 ounces
19 inches long

Justin and I just keep looking at each other and saying, "I can't believe we have another girl!" It truly was the most awesome experience not finding out what we were having. Dr. Crowe pulled her out and held her little booty up over the curtain so Justin could announce what the baby was. Of course, he couldn't tell, so they held her up again and he said, "It's a GIRL!!" I just kept saying "Oh my gosh, can you believe it?" My pregnancy was so different from the first two.

Not only did she shock us with being a girl, but she also shocked us with her size. I have called her our "little peanut" throughout the pregnancy, and she really ended up being a precious peanut. Lainie was 9 pounds, 2 ounces and Emmie was 9 pounds, 5 ounces, while both girls were 21 inches. We just assumed that Ellie would be that big as well. When they announced she was 7 pounds, 12 ounces and 19 inches long, I couldn't believe it! She is SO tiny to us. :)

Lainie did say that the baby was not an Ellie, it was a Davis! She has finally accepted that she has a baby sister named Ellie. However, she came and laid her hand on my stomach today and said, "Mommy, I just felt Davis kick!" Ha! I think she still thinks Davis will come at some point.

Justin and I are just thrilled with our precious baby girls. We feel so blessed and could not be happier. God has blessed us beyond measure!

Sweet Baby Kisses

Well, we have finally made it to the week of meeting this sweet baby. The girls are always patting my belly and reminding me that I have a baby in my tummy. They also love to give the baby kisses, so I asked Justin to take a few pics of us tonight to document it. Here we are...38 weeks and 3 days! Only 3 more days to go!

Just a side note: We went out to dinner tonight for Justin's birthday. As a lady was leaving the restaurant, she walked up to me and said, "I am sorry, but I just have to ask you when you are due. I told my husband it had to be tomorrow." HA! Heath and Calie were with us and Heath said, "Mere, I think she just called you fat." Hilarious!

Also, last night we were at the house of some friends, and one of the girls there just kept saying, "It hurts me to look at you." People are cracking me up these days. I guess it is a good thing that I am almost done. I think I scare people. :)

Cuties!

Just some cute pics of the girls! Lainie had the cow on her head that she made at school last week. Gotta love it!

Disney on Ice - Toy Story

Here are a few pictures that I took while we were at Disney on Ice. There was a huge group of us that went, but I didn't get pictures of anyone except Graham! Lainie and Emmie's friends that came were Reagan, Kensley, Kennedy, Kade, Jake, Graham, Brody, Jake, Jonah and Jackson! I didn't even attempt a picture of the whole group! Ha! As I said in my last post, it was so much fun!

Lainie LOVED it....taking it all in!

Happy Birthday Justin!....and some other random information!

Today is Justin's birthday! I wondered if Little Peanut might share a birthday with his or her Daddy, but I am thinking it will have a special day all it's own. Happy Birthday to J! I have truly been blessed with such a wonderful husband and father for my kids. We celebrated this morning over Sister Schubert pigs in a blanket. He went to open all his gifts and cards and quickly realized that he wouldn't have that option this year. Lainie and Emmie were tearing into them faster than he could get to them! They had so much fun opening Daddy's birthday gifts. Ha! We also celebrated his big day last night with some friends while watching the football games.

As far as some other random information....

* We FINALLY decided on a girl's name for Little Peanut.....Lynleigh Ellison and we will call her "Ellie." If the baby is a boy, his name will be Davis Michael and we will call him "Davis."

* Lainie has two imaginary friends now that she talks about all the time...Sally and Carrot. She reminds us that Sally has yellow hair and wears a blue dress. Not sure where her friends came from, but we hear about them often!

* Emmie loves, loves, loves to copy everything Lainie does and says. If Lainie asks a question, you better believe that Emmie will be asking the same question as soon as I answer Lainie's. It is so funny! They really do love each other and are the best of friends.

* We took the girls to Disney on Ice last weekend and they loved it. Lainie kept saying on the way to the car, "Mommy, I loved the show! I had so much fun!" She said the next day on the way to school that she wanted to go to Mickey's house and give him a big hug! :) Sweet girl! I think we should start planning a trip to DisneyWorld!

* Both girls love Toy Story. Lainie picked out a Jessie doll at Disney on Ice, and Uncle Bennie was so sweet to get them a Woody doll and a Buzz Lightyear doll. Gramma and Grampi had also gotten them a mini Woody doll, so the girls carry those around constantly and love them!

* Only a few more days until we get to meet this sweet baby! We can hardly wait to find out if it will be a boy or girl. Justin, Lainie and Emmie still think it is a boy. I go back and forth depending on the day. We are looking so forward to sharing pictures of him or her soon!

Our Little Trooper

Little Miss Em had to go in for surgery last Tuesday to have more tubes put in her ears and her adenoids taken out. After seeing the ENT several times this summer, he decided that it would be best to go ahead with the surgery. Her ears were consistently full of fluid all summer, and that is not the norm for her age. I was a little hesitant to go ahead with the surgery because she is still so young, but he felt it was necessary.
Afterwards, I am so glad that we decided to do it. Her doctor said that she was a mess! Her throat, ears and nose were all infected and full of junk. He put her on strong ear drops for five days and an antibiotic for 3 weeks. We are hoping this will help her feel better. He also wants her on allergy medicine year round. He thinks not only does she have allergies, but her problems are caused by her genetic make-up as well. Poor baby! She is such a trooper! You would never know she felt badly when you are around her.
I also have to brag on how she handled her blood draw before the surgery. We had to take her in the week before so they could take blood from her arm. Our sweet girl sat there, watched them draw the blood, and NEVER cried or even whimpered. She was amazing! She never cried after the surgery either. She amazes us....sweet girl!

Whoa, Momma!!

I have seen other blogs where they have weekly updates of their pregnancy with the information below. I obviously haven't done this throughout this pregnancy, but I thought I would do it for 36 weeks and show you the pictures of me right now. Hold onto your chairs, ladies and gentlemen, because you might not be ready for this!

How Far Along: 36 Weeks
Size of baby: Not sure, but I might be giving birth to a baby the size of a small horse here in a few weeks.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Let's just say there has definitely not been any weight loss around here
Maternity Clothes: I am going to be honest here and say that most women are jealous of my sexy wardrobe.
Gender: Aren't you dying to know?
Movement: My internal organs will never be the same.
Sleep: Sleep.....you mean insomnia? I daydream of dreaming!
What I miss: The list is long, my friends!
Cravings: One word....FOOD!

I did actually go into labor last week, but Dr. Crowe was able to stop it. I was dehydrated, and she thinks I might have had a little virus as I didn't feel well at all. I learned one thing very quickly from the experience....I was not prepared at all for this baby! Needless to say, we have gotten things taken care of. Thankfully, my mom was in town to help! She has been such a huge help with getting things in order for Little Peanut!

Now, for the pictures you have been longing to see....to be honest, they still shock me!

First Day of School

Lainie and Emmie had their first day of school on September 8. Justin and I ended up moving the girls to a new school this year that is about 5 minutes from our house. It has been SO nice! I was driving 25 minutes to their school last year, so this has been such a welcome change. Not only is it convenient, but we LOVE their new school. The teachers, the program, and the activities are awesome! I am so excited to have them there.

We went to meet the teachers on September 1, and Emmie cried because she didn't want to go home. I was shocked as she cried every day last year because she didn't want to stay. I got my hopes up thinking she would be happy, happy to go to school this year. Unfortunately, I was wrong.....her love of school lasted for one day! Now, she cries and says she doesn't want to go every. single. morning that I go to drop her off. Her teachers are so sweet and she seems to always have a great day, but she just doesn't get excited about going yet.

Lainie loves her class. Her friends, Graham and Jonah, are in class with her this year, so she is thrilled! She is learning all kinds of new things and has started "Handwriting without Tears." She can already write her name, but hopefully, her handwriting will improve over this year. Her teachers are so sweet too.

Both girls have lots to look forward to. They have baby cows coming, chicks they will be hatching, caterpillars that they will watch turn into butterflies, etc. I think they will have a great year!

Chattanooga with Uncle Bennie (Ice Cream and Water Fun)

After the park, we headed to the cutest little ice cream shop to grab some ice cream. Yum! It was the perfect treat for a very hot day. We then went back to the Aquarium for a little while. Afterwards, Lainie wanted to play in the ponds outside, so we took the girls shoes off and let them splash away. Justin and I both said we will have to go back again. The girls loved it and there is so much for the kids to do!
